The Big Cliche

surrealism. i hate this piece. the assignmet was to use a random magazine cutout thing (mine is that cord thing) in some way, and do a surreal piece based on it. so...i did what i wanted XD not really the assignment...
in this is airbrush, watercolor, and prismacolor...and the cutout, pasted on.
the theme is save the rainforsest, save endangered species, etc...
the transparent birds are the extinct ivory billed woodpeckers... the snake is the endangered san francisco garter snake... i don't remember what the other two critters are, but they're endangered. basically, i was trying to get across the message that their lives are in our hands. and then a painted a devastated rainforest, and i drew a recycling bin, and a toxic waste barrel, and the cord is kinda connecting them... i guess, supposed to be symbolic of......we have to make the change, and we're also the problem. whatever...
